Free iPods

Published by in Random on June 30th, 2006

I too want to work in National Semiconductors, hahahaha then can get free iPod. Nah i was just joking TURNING TO iPOD CULTURE: National Semiconductor employees S. Banurmady (left) and Morni Ansari (second from left) learning to use an iPod from Suhana Bohari (second from right) while Peggy Chek joins in. All employees of the Malacca- based electronics company – like the company’s other 5,700 employees worldwide – were given an iPod each. Those employees who got the iPod have been working there for a long time, i think 20 years plus. So the company showed their appreciation by giving them a nano each. Now isn’t that nice of them, unless something fishy is going on (hopefully not). Just imagine this, first you get a nano then the next thing you know you are asked to leave the company. But i don’t think that’s the case for National Semiconductors since they are quite established. picked from theStar

2 international students throwing punches at each other

Published by in Random on June 27th, 2006

I was so tired because i had classes from 8am all the way to 12pm. Furthermore, yesterday night i didn’t sleep well as it was terribly hot. Classes ended, i dashed out to find Ling so we could have lunch at Sirah. Just as we were walking towards STAD, we spoted 2 international students punching each other in the face. Frankly i have never expected this to happen except for the movies but this was as real as it gets. Lecturers tried to seperate them but the taller fella just kept charging forward and landing his punches on his counterpart’s face. Then the security started shouting and they all ran towards them. Even with these security people, they were still busy beating each other up. When all this was going on, guess what the rest did ? We all just stood there watching. Most of us took out our handphones and started snapping pictures, to my dismay my memory was FULL !!!! Damn !!!!!!!!!! I know i am always prepared and do manage to get photos instantaneuosly when something happens but not this time. Anyway it was kind of scary seeing this happen. When they were excorted to the Security

Brazil to lift the World Cup ?

Published by in Random on June 14th, 2006

I came across this blog thru petalingstreet and he wrote an entry about numerology in World Cup. Like he said, i too was watching ESPN and this guy from India pointed out something. He said the number 3964 is very special and with this number, the guy from India predicts Brazil will win the World Cup in Germany. This was how he predicted. You see, Brazil has won the cup 5 times in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. Now plus the last number with the first number, second last with the second number: 1970 + 1994 = 39641962 + 2002 = 39641958 + XXXX = 3964 ? So XXXX = 3964 – 1958XXXX = i let you do the calculation yourself are the Samba boys going to lift the cup again for the 6th time ? walski69 also pointed out this out for Germany fans. As you know Germany has won the World Cup 3 times, 1954, 1974 and 1990. Now let’s do the same thing as the previous calculation: 1974 + 1990 = 39641954 + XXXX = 3964 ? So XXXX = 3964 – 1954= 2010Like walski69 said, Germany might have to wait for the next World Cup

World Cup notice to all ladies

Published by in Random on June 12th, 2006

I read this over at Pam’s blog and i thought it was soooooooo funnie. So i am sharing with you all this note Dear Wife / Partner / Girlfriend / Significant Other, 1. From June 9 toJuly 9, 2006, you should read the sports section of the newspaper daily so thatyou are well aware of what’s going on regarding the World Cup. This is so thatyou will be able to join any conversations that are bound to take place. If youfail to do this, you will be looked at with disdain or alternatively, you willtotally be ignored. DO NOT complain about not receiving any attention. 2. During the World Cup, the television is mine – MINE, at all times, without any exceptions. If you even catch a glimpse of the remote control, youwill lose it (your eye). 3. If you really have to pass in front of theTV during a game, I don’t mind, as long as you do it crawling on the floor andwithout distracting me, or worse, blocking my view. If you decide to stand nudein front of the TV in a desperate act to get my attention, make sure you putclothes on right after because if you catch

My father who isn’t really a football fanatic, kept saying he saw his face on tv some where. Then my bro told my dad, ” That’s Michael Ballack ! Shhssssssh “ ——– Suddenly he said this ….——- “I thought he acted in Bourne Supremecy and Bourne Identity ?” My bro and I laughed till we teared. I told my dad he isn’t Matt Damon and continued laughing …. But if you think again, they do qualify to be brothers. Hahahaha don’t you think so ?

A thing or two about ‘the game’

Published by in Random on June 8th, 2006

OffsideA lot of people do get confuse when it comes to the offside trap. I too had a difficult time understanding why the need of offside till my PJK teacher, Mr Gurmit Singh told us why. It’s like this, if there’s no offside, players could be waiting at their opponents goal till someone passes to him. So to ensure both teams have the same advantage, the last player to receive the ball from his team mate must be in line (left to right if you’re the player) or in line vertically if you’re watching on the tv. If you are ahead of the last opposition player and your team mate passes you the ball then it’s a definite off side. That is one of the scenarios that could lead to an offside. When my brother’s asked me about this not long back, i told them to simply think it as ‘curi ayam’. Because you have advantage over your opposition and that’s not fair. Here is one good example on how the offside works Yellow and Red CardA yellow is normally given when a player does something that’s unsporting. Besides that, leaving and entering the pitch witout the referee’s permission too

Players to look out for in Germany …

Published by in Random on June 8th, 2006

Finally the most prestigious sporting event of the year is here. Yes i understand some people do tell me, why watch 22 players chase one ball when you can do something which is more fruitful. I was once one of them, telling people that their wasting their time watching this silly game. But when i was back in secondary school, the liking of football was instilled in me by force thru PJK And from then on, there was no looking back. Everyone has put their money on Brazil to retain their title and i too expect them to do so. But here’s the thing, in football anything is possible. It doesn’t matter whether you are ranked highly that you will definitely see thru the group stages. One very good example was France. In 2002 they lost to Senegal and that ultimately send a shock wave thru the Japan and Korea (they were the host for that year). Soon, then Argentines who were clear favourites too were victims. Nevertheless, I am here to tell who are the stars one should look out for tomorrow onwards ! Lionel Messi (Argentina) – Tipped to be one of the most talented youngsters besides Robinho
