Players to look out for in Germany …

Finally the most prestigious sporting event of the year is here. Yes i understand some people do tell me, why watch 22 players chase one ball when you can do something which is more fruitful. I was once one of them, telling people that their wasting their time watching this silly game. But when i was back in secondary school, the liking of football was instilled in me by force thru PJK
And from then on, there was no looking back.
Everyone has put their money on Brazil to retain their title and i too expect them to do so. But here’s the thing, in football anything is possible. It doesn’t matter whether you are ranked highly that you will definitely see thru the group stages. One very good example was France. In 2002 they lost to Senegal and that ultimately send a shock wave thru the Japan and Korea (they were the host for that year). Soon, then Argentines who were clear favourites too were victims.
Nevertheless, I am here to tell who are the stars one should look out for tomorrow onwards !
Lionel Messi (Argentina) - Tipped to be one of the most talented youngsters besides Robinho and Rooney. Like Robinho, he is also known as the modern Maradona and people have suggested he could even be better than him.
Nakamura (Japan) - Though Japan are not one of the favourites to lift the World Cup, Nakamura have shown what he is capable off. Blasting 2 goals past the Brazilians to make it 2-2 proves, one should not be afraid of the world champions.
Joe Cole (England) - No i am not a Chelsea fan nor am i a Joe Cole fan but with the workrate he puts in makes me think, he could make a difference when it comes to open play for England. With Rooney sidelined for the first few games, Joe Cole would be in the spot light to give those thunderous strikes and darting passes from the left flank.
Robin van Persie (Holland) - He does have the speed to carry himself forward and seems to be the replacement for Ruud in the near future. He does drop back quite often as a midfielder when needed. Sometimes he does come in a substitute and gives Holland a whole new dimension
Robinho (Brazil) - Known as the modern Pele, Robinho has already made his name in South America before leaving for Real Madrid. He is one of the four attacking players who will link up to threaten the defense of any opposing team.
Christiano Ronaldo - Famous for his eye popping trickeries, lightning runs down the flanks and an eye for the goal, Ronaldo has been influential in Portugal’s finals appearence in Greece in Euro2004
I am sure everyone will be looking out for players like Ronaldinho, Henry, Gerard, Raul, Ballack and so on but don’t forget about these upcoming stars. I might have missed out a lot of young players cause it’s either hard to obtain their photos or i am just pure lazy
