Toastmasters: Joint Installation Nite

This event was held at DHL, Cyberjaya on the 14th of July at 7pm and boy oh boy, the place looked magnificent. One thing that has to be pointed out about DHL is how tight their security is. David explained to Lingster and I on how each of the guards will know when you have entered the premise and will make sure that you know your way and know where to park in the designated area for visitors. Just as we past the guard house, David said now we happen to see any guards on the way the parking area, they will defintely point it for you without even asking you. And yeah we did see 2 guards on the way and both of them did point us in the direction we were suppose to go. If that wasn’t good enough, as we entered the new DHL building the gates upon by themselves and i thought it was cool but just for me to find out there’s 2 more guards keeping an eye on us. As we got off to the 4th floor, we could here a lady shouting, ” 1, 2, 3 …. push now ” and as we peeped into the room where the voice was heard, we realised they had their own Yoga session and everyone said, ” Woooooo”. Next to the Yoga room was the venue for the Toastmasters Installation Ceremony. This time around, it’s slightly different as 4 clubs joined forces to have a joint installation which was great and the theme was World Cup.
VVIPs arriving at the entrance and registrating their names for the lucky draw. I have no idea why the fella in the jersey had to wear a Manchester United jersey when the theme was about World Cup =_=”. People started pouring in soon after the VVIPs did and you could see on every face that how excited they were to be there.

The emcee started off by introducing themselves and they made sure everyone was having a great time by having ice breaking session. Besides that everyone was just yapping away like there’s no tomorrow. That’s what we do right ? Talk and talk … Hehehe you can see it clearly see it in the picture, that almost everyone’s socializing except for one ….. i think you can spot him easily. You need a hint ? He is in purple ? Is that sufficient ?
The food was Great ! I am not sure how the others felt but anything is definitely better than hostel food. Before the installation even began, I could smell the strong aroma which triggered my stomach to singing. We just had to control ourselves till the emcees gave the green light that it was dinner time 
There were some late comers but …… better late than never right ?
We were served with bihun, buttered rice, vegetarian kurma, sweet sour boneless fish, black peppered chicken, mutton, samosa and a variety of kuih muih. I just couldn’t hold myself back that i had to go for a second round. Bernard and I did agree that the food here was a million times better than the one served in Unite.
