The Purpled Raya

Every year my neighbour invites my family over for lunch on the first day of Raya. There wasn’t much difference compared to previous years except for their theme colour. I have noticed every single family member, wore the theme colour where ever possible, for instance this year was purple. The men had their baju melayu in purple while some of the ladies had their baju kurung in purple too. As for the lady of the house, she even went to the extend of getting purple coloured curtains and sofa covers. It was so purple-ish 
The food was awesome. I enjoyed their food till i had a second helping. So much for my dieting plan -__-”
After lunch, i sat in the hall as my parents continued talking to them. Before we left, one of their sons arrived. Together with him, was a fair skinned girl and we were told that they just got married more than a year ago.
I knew him back when i was in primary school and we used to go to the same tuition for BM. He acknowledged me as he walked in. At this point, my sister asked me, isn’t he the same age as me. Before i nodded Yes, my jaw literally dropped when he came in again with his child. The host were telling my parents how happy they were to be grandparents.
I have heard many stories of people at my age getting married and even starting a family but i have not known anyone personally till today. My mum who knew about it, actually brought a baby hamper for the grandchild. And all this while i thought that the hostess was the one who had a baby.
I did mentioned about the theme colour earlier, the colour puple. The baby was dressed in purple too
