Happy Feet VS Barnyard

I had the chance to watch both movies recently and would definitely ask parents out there to bring their kids to catch a glimpse of either the tap dancing penguin or the two legged male cow with udder. Both movies had morals that could help teach young kids or even adults a thing or two. But in terms of entertainment, i would say Happy Feet would win hands down. Eventhough both movies had the voices recorded from some heavy weight actors and actresses but the storyline for Happy Feet was much more smoother and touching. Otis (Kevin James) and friends Barnyard is about this male cow, Otis who had to step in as the person in charge of the farm once the farmer is away. So it’s about everything that happens in the barnyard. Mumble-Emperor penguin (Elijah Wood), Ramon & friends Happy Feet on the other hand is about Emperor Penguins who will find their partners through singing but unfortunately for Mumble, he can’t. Instead he has this ability to dance. Pip the mouse Ramon – Robin Williams In every movie, there’s always a character that is in charge of the humour department and it was clear that both movies

Bloody rain

Published by in Random on November 27th, 2006

It rained heavily again and this time it was worst. Knowing that i forgot to close one of my windows, i had to run back from class. The covered path way was useless. Going through FCM was as good as running through a few gigantic waterfalls. There was not one spot where i won’t get myself wet. How would students be encouraged to attend classes when there’s a high possibility of getting wet in the rain ? I got my shoes freaking wet, soaking wet ! And tomorrow i have a presentation. What a good timing. If i can’t get my shoes dry by tomorrow noon, i have no choice but to use my slippers -_-” This is not the first time i have been drenched wet because of the rain but it has happened a few times. Nothing seemed to be done to fix the covered pathway and i don’t see it happening anytime soon either. Yeap, the carpark is flooded again. A four year old kid would have seen that coming . One of the drivers looked pretty pissed because he had water all in his car. He grabbed an empty bottle and removed the water slowly. By

Upgrading RAM for iMac G5 (Rev. A)

Published by in apple on November 23rd, 2006

I have delayed this post for more than a year because i was plain LAZY I only remembered about it when someone emailed me asking if i could explain to him on how to upgrade the RAM on his iMac G5 reversion C. So here it goes. Before i start off, i would want to make it clear that mine is a reversion A G5, 17 inch. There are 4 types of flat iMacs. First would be the one i am having which is reversion A where the processor speed ranges from 1.6Ghz to 1.8Ghz. Second would be the reversion B or ‘Ambient Light Sensor’ line. The difference is the light sensor that’s situated at the bottom of the iMac screen. Processor speed ranges from 1.8Ghz to 2.0Ghz. Rev C has practically what you see in the new iMac with Core Duo processor, just that it runs on G5. It has the remote for FrontRow and iSight, with processor ranging from 1.9Ghz to 2.1Ghz, just to name a few. The layout is slightly different compared to revision A and B. Finally, we have the all new iMac that comes with Intel processor. Now enough with the gibberish. You would need:

Cam whoring, which went wrong

I tried to do some cam whoring but failed to do. I looked more like an idiot. The idea came after reading Shy Jiun‘s entry where she said “… taking photo can power up my energy bar.” Lingster came back this weekend and today i accompanied her the airport. While we were on the ERL, i told her about Shy Jiun’s finding. Lingster looked at me and gave me that you-can’t-be-serious look. There’s no harm trying to take our own picture. So we tried snapping some pictures and i have to say Lingster is a better photographer than I am. She knows which angle should be taken. We took so many pictures till i had to delete some of my mp3s on my phone to accommodate more pictures. Lingster told me, how come i don’t feel any increase in my power bar. I too didn’t feel anything. On the other hand, i felt so shy cause the passengers around us were glancing at us, cam whoring non-stop. Lingster didn’t bother though, she just kept on posing. I told her since nothing happened, why not you try to sleep. Then i would snap a few pictures and see if there’s anything.

Dinner & Prize Giving Ceremony for Really3G winners

Published by in dining, mmu on November 16th, 2006

Almost two months back, i blogged about my participation along with Lingster and Khek Yang in a 3G competition which was held at KLCC. We did our best and we came out short. When i say that we came out short, i meant really really short. The first team arrived 60 seconds earlier than us and in between that another team sneaked in right ahead of us. So we were third. Everyone knew that there’s only one winner and the winner will get 3 units of 6680. The rest, nothing. Two months passed by and last Sunday, i received a sms saying there would be free dinner and prize giving ceremony at Hard Rock Cafe. I immediately called up Lingster and she too received the sms but replied to them that she can’t make it as she’s in Penang. Same goes to Khek. He called me moments after i ended my call with Lingster. This is the first time i am dining in Hard Rock Cafe, simply because it’s hardcore expensive. We were given a different menu to choose from as there’s a budget set by the sponsors. We had to choose one starter, one main course, one dessert and

Not the best place to draw blood

My dad couldn’t find any suitable vein to puncture between my elbow and the back of my hand. So he had to resort to drawing my blood from my wrist. It wasn’t the best feeling as there wasn’t much flesh and it stung as hell. Signs of fatty tissue accumulating

Rain, rain go away

Like i have said in my previous post that it has been raining cats and dogs lately. And now it has gone into the 5th straight day that it rains in the evening. Yesterday it rained slightly ahead of schedule and right away i knew this is not a normal evening rain. As i was reading my notes, drips of rain water started dripping in from the window. Later on, it started pouring in as though some one aimed a hose right to my window. Immediately i closed it. I walked over to the other window which wasn’t affected like mine and peeped out to see the surrounding. This is what i saw from my window and you could see muddy, murky water around the carpark area. At that point of time, i sent out a message to those in my YM list, warning them of a possible flood. At the same time, i thought it would be fun to see how fast would the message return to me. My screen was filled with my forwarded message within seconds. Water started filling up the carpark as the rain continued to pour. Noticed the MyVi ? I think it should be

Back in Cyberjaya

Published by in Random on November 8th, 2006

I flew back to KL last Sunday and took 2 hours to get from LCCT to the doorstep of my hostel room. It was so damn bloody long that my McValue meal ended up being soaked in the condensed water formed in the plastic bag itself. So much for McDs as dinner -___-” As i expected, there weren’t much people around in campus. It was eerily quiet as i walked through the corridors and the lightings didn’t help either. Just as i opened my door, a strong gush of wind greeted me and the curtains danced violently. One of my room mates must have left the windows opened and it was left like that for the past 3 weeks. Imagine the amount of dust and dirt that got on to the table, chair and floor. I swept a couple of times and ran out to buy a mop. My old mop got kidnapped a couple of times but i manage to recover it time after time till the very last week of last semester where i never saw it again. I guess the person who stole it must be a pathetic fella. I mopped the floor 4 times. It was

Back to school

Published by in Random on November 7th, 2006

It has been a while since i have gone back to my alma mater and last week i went back to collect my SPM certificate. There hasn’t been any major changes to the school ever since i left in 2001 but one thing i noticed was the wardens are now in black shoes. Back when i was a warden, we weren’t allowed to wear black shoes but it didn’t bother me anyway. I headed over to the administration office and told what i needed. The lady then told me to hang on as it will take sometime for her to dig the records. After 10 minutes or so, she appeared with a long log book which was dusty as hell. She asked me to find for my name. As i was going through the names, i could see all my friends who have collected and those who haven’t. It was fun seeing their names again. I realized the list was divided by our classes, so i skipped a whole lot of pages before reaching mine. I browsed through and there it was … my name So i followed the column to the right, just to find out that mine has
