My experience in 2006 (Reverse Bungee)

For the next few days, i will be writing what i have done for the year 2006. I am not gonna go in detail on every single thing but what has been significant to me that i will remember it for years to come.
So first up, reverse bungee … the word bungee itself doesn’t sound that appealing to me. Adding that with reverse, it simply makes it even worst. The idea of reverse bungee was conceived by Lingster and friends. Either they wanted to experience near death experience or would like to see KL city, upside down but it still didn’t make sense to me on why one should pay to torture themselves. OK ok, i was just scared, there you have it. I don’t really have fear for heights but doing things like skydiving, bungee jumping, anything that involves free fall would be a big NO NO to me.
The last time i experienced such event was in Gentings when all of us sat on the Salero shot. And we went twiceeeeeee -_-” Everyone was busy screaming their heads off and i … i just sat in my seat quietly and held to the safety bar as hard as i could. After the second round, i puked.
Back to my reverse bungee ride, i actually backed off a couple of times till Lingster sweet talked me. Actually it was more like making me feel bad. She asked me ” Would you want me to go up there alone and surfer? Or you want some other people to sit with me ?”
I already felt so bad for being a chicken ass. Before i could say anything, she continued ” I am sure you wouldn’t do that, so come let’s go and i have already paid for you actually. You can pay me later, that’s if you are alive.” …….
We walked to the platform to see Charng and Jiin get shot into the sky first and it was a bad bad idea especially those who are scared. Then it was our turn.
The video will be sufficient enough to see how much agony i went through. Hahaha but i would say that it was one heck of a ride and i never regretted doing it. Of course you must have the right things in place like knowing who is sitting beside you, it really helps a lot cause you get to converse while waiting thus not being anxious. The guy who was preparing us was busy talking to us when he pressed the ‘GO’ button without warning us. My eyes just stared right into the sky as my body accelerated vertically. Lingster was busy screaming her heads off. Next thing i knew i could see KL city, sky, ground KL city, sky, ground …. it continued spinning a few times before it stopped. Man, i could feel all my lil fur on both my hands stand -_-”
We were all given certs to certify that we have done reverse bungee which i am actually proud off, hahaha. Before we left, the organizers told us, in future they are planning to have bungee jump from KL tower itself. That i would definitely skip it. Lingster on the other hand was too eager and kept asking, ” when when ???” I thought to myself, I better take her more shopping spree so she would overlook this jumping-off-kl-tower idea.
