Air Asia made me wait 4 hours in LCCT

Just yesterday i was reading this entry by mikemmery about his complains on AirAsia. I was thinking to myself, what are the chances of a similar incident happening to me. The few years i have been flying with AirAsia, i have never once experienced a delayed flight till today. I was on my way to LCCT via KLIA through the ERL to catch a flight to Penang at 11.10am when i received a message from AirAsia:
I was so disappointed. It was only 8.34am and if the flight was on time, i would only wait for like 1 1/2 hours. But thanks to the delay, i had four hours to spare at LCCT. Thank God i brought along my notebook and i manage to do some of my assignments and also write this entry. This still isn’t going to deter me from flying with AirAsia, assuming this is a once in a blue thing incident *i hope*
I am bored ! And my notebook battery is less than 10% -_-

Hmm welcome to the Air-Asia-delay-club!
I had similar experience for a flight to Bangkok early this year. Waited for 3 hours in the evening WITHOUT anything to do. At least you have a laptop with you!

airasia is hmmm bad?
I’ve no comment, I’ve never tried AirAsia.
But judging from everything I’ve heard and seen.

oh my.. is been a while i didnt fly with aeroplane :P.
I had that messages from Air Asia before during my family to langkawi. The flight delayed for 2 hours. Before I went to LCCT, I double check to confirm the time at Air Asia website. Hopefully no delay again for my next trip to KK..

hmmm..conclusion: take bus, Konsortium..delay also one hour nia..u delayed 4 hrs at LCCT..take bus also reached pg d lo =)
lucky for me we didn’t have much trouble with airasia when we were in malaysia, they even refund one of our tickets!
arrived safely??? no delay???
AirAsia did once to me but it wasn’t that bad. FireFly on the other hand, cancels their flights very frequently. My bf recently flew to Kelantan, and a simple trip like this had two delays and changes. At the end of the day, he had to take another day off at work place. -.- I would say, unless your schedule is really flexible, don’t take a chance with their service.

h.c.tan: true true but for me right, the airport is nearer to my campus compared to pudu. and somehow i feel taking the flight isn’t as tiring as the bus. but if i ever have the chance, probably i will follow ur advise

When my trip to Penang, they did the same too … Saying delay, reason is “Traffic Jam” on the routes.
When the plane has finally arrived, they drove to the runway and gosh, there are about 9 planes queueing to take off.
Before taking off, there are so many planes are landing, again, wait.
I am late to my destination for about 1 hour +
benghan: what a waste that i couldn’t meet you back in penang and also during the kl meet.
well the reason given to me was that the earlier flight had some trouble, so everything got delayed. but what was weird was, the manage to sms as early as 830am. that means they knew it was gonna be delayed ?
