Luna Bar – The Good and The Ugly

The difference between guys and girls when it comes to any outing is, guys will just go whenever they want to. Girls on the other hand, will take eons to plan where to go. Well that’s the location only, after that comes the date and time. That will take another century or so to decide. So far that’s what has been happening in my circle of friends.

But last week was different. Everything was spontaneous. Charng Yee buzzed me in the noon and said to meet up in Luna Bar. Shin Jiin was already informed and all i had to do was drag Lingster. The next thing we knew, we were all seated in the non-smoking area of Luna Bar with a gorgeous view at our disposal.

The rest were already there when Lingster and i reached. I never knew Luna Bar served food and decided to give it a try, even after knowing how expensive it was.

This is what Jiin and WeeVern ordered. It’s goat’s organs, chicken, wedges, beef and a bit of vege, i think.

This was what Lingster and i ordered; Super Murukku Yee Mee and Deep Fried Prawns

I never liked cocktails. You pay a ridiculously priced drink which you hardly enjoy.

Chang Yee and Wern Sern ordered some fruit thingy but i didn’t have the chance to take a picture because everyone was busy looking at Lingster’s pictures from Denmark, apa lar -_-”

Basically, all we did was talk, talk and talk … about others everyone’s daily life; chores and work.

Charng Yee was telling us how she has to do her work which has no relation with what she has done in her degree. But somehow or rather you would have noticed that she enjoys it cause it’s in a way related to shopping, at least for this next few weeks. Especially with the opening of three new shopping complexes in KL.

Jiin on other hand gave a short synopsis on how magnifico Jacky Cheung’s concert was. She suggested everyone should go for a concert in the near future. I really can’t see myself enjoying looking at an ant sized singer singing unless he/she is bigger than my palm icon razz Luna Bar The Good and The Ugly I wonder who is coming to Malaysia soon. The only regret i have so far is missing out on Linkin Park -_-”

KL Petronas Twin Tower is a common sight at Luna Bar and not forgetting the normal looking KL Tower. Before leaving the place, we decided to take a group photo but business was so good that we had to wait a whole 10 minutes before someone actually helped us with the camera.

One for the album.

I forgot to mention something that really annoyed me which was the waitress, or whatever you call the person who serves us (i have nothing against waiter/waitress). We requested for the bill and as she walked to counter, she yelled out, “around two hundred”

-_-”

After checking the bill, she came to us again and said ” Oh it’s two hudred and sixty seven”. Again with a loud tone.

“We want the bill”, we replied. Once she brought the bill, she stood there as though we were going to make a dash without paying. I am not sure if that’s a standard procedure at Luna Bar but i think what she did was damn bloody rude.

If two hundred is too little then they should have put a sign or something saying “Patrons who spend three hundred ringgit and below will be treated like kids.”

Next meetup will have to be at Sky Bar icon razz Luna Bar The Good and The Ugly Desmond made a comparison of Sky Bar and Luna Bar; and i have to say the place looks impressive.

  7. satkuru says:

    hey there audley,

when i was there, i only paid for our drinks and food. i was told that weekdays there’s no cover charge. weekends after 9.30pm there’s a 50 riggit cover charge which includes one drink.

if i am not mistaken the age limit is above 21. but then again, a couple of friends who were 20 did go thru. lol
