Yesterday i followed Weng Chong, Bernard and Wendy to Sunway to watch Beowulf. First of all the new Sunway building looked sucky and it’s as though they did it in rush and couldn’t come out with a better design. Of all the new/expanded shopping complexes i would say Pavillion had more appeal.
So now back to the movie, i am not giving out any spoilers but i have to say the movie would have been better if it was shot in real life. There’s just too much hype for this movie and if it wasn’t for the short jokes, i would have just slept off.
Final verdict -
Bernard: Wasted my 10bucks !
WengChong: I don’t even know what’s the story about
Wendy: ……
ME: At least we got to say Angelina Jolie topless in CG, i can say that was the only highlight. Hahaha.
I agreed with Woolala that so far nothing has come close to Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. I don’t even play the game nor know the characters but the movie had a great storyline and the graphics were magnifico. I just felt Beowulf tried too hard.
Personally i felt the name was funny altogether and i kept using the name Beowulf in anyway possible. Of course after a while it gets kinda lame.

Went and watched Beowulf last night. You’re right. At least there was AJ nude in CG. And Beowulf inspires me to workout harder at the gym. Other than that, the movie was nothing but a showcase of nudity (Beowulf’s nude battle with Grendel made me laugh, as well as how his anatomy was *always* cleverly covered LMAO~~~), sarcasm (sarcastic lines in the dialogue aplenty), appreciation for perfect-body-figures (of the male as well as female kind, if you know what I mean) and state-of-the-art graphics and animations. Storyline was a little crappy, although there’s a moral lesson to be learned - Don’t screw around. Actually, the story also portrayed that even the strongest men would go weak when it comes to beautiful women. While I agree there is some truth in that portrayal, different men react differently to such temptations.
Interesting to note that our Lembaga Penapisan Negara has matured somewhat, even though the movie wasn’t real and direct, it was pretty suggestive, sarcastic and clever.
P/s: If I were Beowulf, I wouldn’t allow my highly prized and sensitive ‘weapon’ to come into direct contact with any part of Grendel’s body. Like a pendulum, it’d swing around too much and affect my agility.
wow, that’s was one heck of a comment. every point said was spot on. actually you did bring out a very good point which was even the strongest men would go weak when it comes to beautiful women.
p/s: hahaha i doubt anyone would. ganas, physics all come out already
you tried before is it ?
