Celebration for England and Khek
Posted on November 23, 2007 - Filed Under experience, food, just for laughs, personal

England is OUT ! Probably one of the most overrated team has finally come to terms that they still need some tweaking to click into a unit. Individually i know the players are doing pretty well in their respective clubs but some how or rather only a handful maintains that rich form for their country. I have nothing against the England team as i am an avid fan of EPL but they just don’t have that flair compared to their counterparts. So anyway, to come in terms with their exclusion from EURO 2008, we celebrated at TGIF Subang
No we didn’t do that but we did go to TGIF to celebrate Khek Yang’s birthday. It would be sick if we did such a thing -_-”
Before i carry on, i would like to wish Khek a happy happy birthday!

Everyone knows Khek is a loyal Newcastle fan, so we decided to get him a Manchester United shirt, hahaha. If that would only happen. Chiaw Yin helped us to get him his gift from a Nike store and it was wrapped in a unique box where Khek was only required to slide the inner compartment out but he decided to untie the knots on it. That shows how excited and impatient he was to see what’s in the box.

Then our food arrived and i had Jack Daniel Chicken and Shrimp.

Kenny got his burger, Gan and David had their dinner before coming over. Noticed David’s new camera ? Which explains his grin -_-” Damn jealous.

After having our dinner, it was time for Khek to receive his cake. He was asked to stand on a chair and sing.

Everyone had a good laugh while Khek stood there covered with embarrassment all over him

Then it was time for the TGIF crew to do their trademark birthday song which was quite interesting cause the last time when i was in a similar function, i never heard them sing rasa sayang

Wee Vern dropped by later and had to explain why was he late
Hehehe

Since Khek just entered adulthood, he was given balloons
Of course the highlight of this entry is about Khek’s birthday but at the same time it was the first time i held and used a DSLR *drools* David came to me and said, “Play lar, play lar. Nice one”. Hahaha and i took the opportunity to snap a few pictures with his gadget. The following pictures are from David’s Canon DSLR 400d

The shot that popped my cherry
Stim or not the picture compared to my cacatic handphone pics. Yummy !

Kae Ee was sitting right opposite me so i started snapping him

Then it was Kenny and Gan’s turn.

David encouraged me to use the zoom without going nearer. So again i had to use Kae Ee as my test subject
Mind you the pictures taken with David’s DSLR is smaller in terms of size compared to my pictures and yet they look nice
I finally made up my mind to set up a fund for a new DSLR camera ! No thanks to David, i am gonna be a few thousand ringgit poorer, hohoho. Kheng Jin had been pushing me to get one since last year and i think it’s about time to get one. Just waiting for the right time to splash the cash *like ler i have any resources now, have to tie stomach already*
Khek - Happy Birthday again!
David - Thanks for given chance ![]()
