Wishing everyone a happy happy New Year ! Youth is when you’re allowed to stay up late on New Year’s Eve. Middle age is when you’re forced to. -Bill Vaughan And this is a gentle reminder to all blogs running on wordpress, don’t forget to update to 2.3.2. It’s a urgent security release

Silhouette Shots at St. Anne’s Church
Thanks to the long break last week due to Hari Raya Aidil Adha and Christmas, i was back again in Penang. This time around, my relatives came over and i had to be the host to my nephew and nieces. One of my aunts wanted to visit St. Anne’s Church, so the whole jing bang accompanied her there. While she was walking around, my siblings and i took a couple of silhouette shots. Personally i feel the best time for this type of shots is when the sun is setting. So there will be a tinge of orange Sis – Big time poser -_-”
Photo Hunters – Messy
A couple of years back, my ex room mate redefined the term messy. I am sure some of you have seen worst but for me this was bad enough. He had things all over his space. Plastic bags, used cans, used bottles, unfinished food, old rags, you name it and he most probably has it somewhere. If your eyes are sharp enough, there’s a used cotton swab somewhere in the picture above -_-” Even with constant cleaning, he still doesn’t bother and litters like there’s no tomorrow. Thankfully i needn’t had to stay with him the following year, if not it would have been a messy year Happy New Year in advance to all photohunters
Nuffnang, Advertlets, GrabMyAds and Nufflets
Just when i thought the blog advertising war will only be between Nuffnang and Advertlets, GrabMyAds came along and today i found out there’s a fourth one, Nufflets.com. I know i am considered quite slow in getting the news but nevertheless, better late than never. If you have time to spare, hop over to ShadowFox’s entry on Nufflets. It was really interesting reading how Nuffnang and Advertlets actually built their own AD server engines and Nufflets on the other hand, got themselves a licensed one. Having Nufflets join the blog advertising war makes the whole competition healthy. Just like football or F1, you wouldn’t want to see one or two teams dominating the field. While exploring Nufflets.com, i found out that Nabil Feisal is the co-founder. Not that i know him personally but i remembered many moons back when i wrote a small complain on Advertlets, the person who replied my mail was Nabil Feisal himself Now with a new player in the field, all i can say is welcome and this would be great for bloggers Happy blogging ! P/S: After months of using both Nuffnang and Advertlets, i decided to drop Advertlets and stick with Nuffnang. Self preference
Carl’s Jr sucked
Mid Valley wins Tourism Malaysia’s Best Decorated Mall contest: “Besides winning Best Decorated Mall, they also won the first prize in the “Best Decorated Mall Contest” for Christmas 2007. The contest, themed “Christmas Magic” was organised by Tourism Malaysia in conjunction with the Malaysia Year-End Sale 2007. The announcement was made in a prize presentation ceremony attended by 10 other major shopping centres in the Klang Valley.” – source TheStar When everyone was busy doing last minute Christmas shopping over at the Pavillion and The Gardens, i was wondering around in Midvalley aimlessly. As usual i had to take the trusty slow yellow train to my destination. The weather wasn’t as kind as previous days, it poured yet again like bears and rabbits. The decoration in Midvalley was really nice but i am pretty sure a lot of people would say The Pavillion’s looked better judging from the amount of bloggers that blogged about it While waiting for Lingster to appear, i waited at the center atrium and watched how children get excited when they sit on the hired Santa. There were even a couple of grown ups that couldn’t believe Santa was there and they started running around him

BBQ in the Rain
I wonder if anyone has tried barbequing in the rain ? We tried …. and it didn’t work But that’s not the point of this entry. After planning and getting accommodation for the KL people, everything was in order for the End Year BBQ Party at Golden Sands Beach Penang. Some of us parked far away and had to walk for a good 5 minutes with things to carry, from chicken to tables, from charcoal to umbrellas (which came in quite handy later on). Some of us did notice that it was already raining further down but to instill the spirit of optimism, we carried on unloading all the equipment to start the fire. Some went further by camwhoring on the beach

Girls Like Guys With Facial Hair ?
These past few days i have been lazy, so lazy that i decided no to shave. So that’s like a week of facial hair on my face. I thought how bad could it be. Further more, after reading Charng’s entry on Patrick Dempsey who ‘coincidently’ has face fungus too, gave me the needed encouragement to try this stupid experiment. I do know girls drool over McDreamy but in real life do they actually like guys with facial hair ? Of course it depends on the person itself, whether it suits him in the first place. So since i was lazy and had nothing to loose, i braved myself to the public. First reaction: A: Wow ! Suddenly got facial hair …. That’s sexy S: That was what i expected to hear and that’s what i got but not from the right gender -_-” Disappointed … Second reaction: A: Hey Satkuru ! First time seeing you like that … but you are missing something. S: Ooo what is it ? A: A guitar and a paper cup >:) S: ……… I went back and shaved after that. Keeping facial hair, just isn’t my cup of tea. Patrick Dempsey sucks ! Hahaha
Welcome to Celcom University
I was walking towards the bank to withdraw money for the week and i got a shock on how the whole campus was invaded by Celcom advertisements. Every where the head turns there’s definitely an ad of Celcom. The zebra crossing had a makeover too. Previously there’s one or two hotlink ads here but now it’s taken over by Celcom’s and if that’s not enough, they even have a booth directly in front of the library. Even faculty and admin buildings weren’t left out. Any strategic place that’s available, there’s an ad I didn’t bother to put up more pictures because i think you would get my point by now. Thank God the toilet bowls are left alone, if not they would have replaced that frog sign with the phrase ‘Shoot Me’ with their X logo with the phrase ‘X marks the spot’. After all, this is a TM university A: Where are you studying ? B: CU A: -_-” See you ? where you going ? B: It’s Celcom University A: …
