Bias policeman

Posted on January 8, 2008 - Filed Under personal

Not too long ago, both me and my sister were stopped by police for speeding separately

Police: Miss, did you know you were speeding? Please show me your identification.
Sister: I really didn’t know *takes out IC and driving license*
Police: Oh you are a doctor ?
Sister: Yes
Police: OK, next time don’t speed
Sister: :D :D :D :D

Then it was my turn

Police: You realized you were driving at 120kph ?
ME: I only did that while over taking.
Police: Identification please.
Police: Next time don’t turn on your radio and sing.
ME: Huh ?
Police: It will distract you while driving. And here’s your summon.
ME: …
Police: Remember, singing distracts you. Btw, you can appeal to lower your summon.
ME: …
Police: Have a nice day.
ME: … ok -__-”

    Hi,
The police must have had some bad experience from any of the reality contests. I’d ask whether I’ll get a ticket if I poke my nose. Poking nose can cause high, you know!

  19. azrin on January 10th, 2008 3:25 am

I had 40 odd saman on my name..all OPS WARTA. All I heck care..because I will pay only RM10 for each..if they bother to get it from me…

funny thing is.. they saman Singaporeans RM150 on the spot and us Malaysians get RM300+5 kejara points.

    omg kirikuru, kesian you! ahahahahaha
but seriously, you were singing while driving?
    LOL~

  21. voch on January 10th, 2008 3:14 pm

Bro, there is such a thing that they don’t give a ticket to public servants..esp the medical staffs and prolly the armed forces.

I have this doctor friend who will tell the cops, “I’m rushing cos there’s an emergency call from the hospital” and off he goes without the ticket.

Hahaha…moral of the story, engineers will kena saman!! hhaha

  25. sabrina on January 15th, 2008 5:17 pm

Oh these buggers are very very bias! Doctors do get a lot of leeway cos they are always rushing off to the hospital

But i bet the fact that it was a female influenced his decision big time….i am not ashamed to admit that i have resorted to using my feminine wiles (what little i have!) like tossing my hair and speaking sweetly just to get out of being summoned….if people are so stupid and bias might as well go down to their level and make it work to your advantage what :p

  26. danny on January 15th, 2008 9:11 pm

I and my dad had the same experience.

He got off because he was a retired gov servant.

I got a warning cause I’m younger….and work for private comp..

  27. MerDuriaN on January 16th, 2008 6:24 pm

normally lawyer, doctor and teacher got priority what

  28. satkuru on January 22nd, 2008 9:02 am

sabrina: i don’t blame females for doing so. if you have an advantage, make use of it :P of course not to the point where you jeopardize yourself :P i would have done the same thing if i was female

danny: damn lucky man you. i never got a warning before -_-”

MerDurian: i never knew that :(
