Steamboat on the 18th floor

It was New Year Eve and Charng had a small gathering at her apartment to do our very own steamboat. Basically that’s all the ingredients that we used. The day before that, Jiin and Charng went to buy them and so happened bumped into Vivien. So all three of them ended up buying what was needed.

The table was too small to accommodate everything, so we shifted everything down. Furthermore Jiin brought along her Korean steamboat cooker (not sure how do i even call that icon razz Steamboat on the 18th floor ).

Newspapers were spread on the floor and we transferred everything from the table to the middle of the hall. I have to say, the Korean styled steamboat was really a good idea except the cleaning part, hahaha. We used too much butter and it made a layer of black hardened butter on the pan which took time to clean.

Attendees were Eng Ann, Vivien, HsuiYong, Lin Lin, Jiin, Charng, Wern Sern, Me and Lingster.

I was totally stuffed after a mere two rounds -_-” And was forced to gobble down more since there’s plenty more left in the pot. While waiting for the food to digest, we had our chit chat session. We talked just about anything, from crazy new year resolutions to tv series.

Charng’s apartment was high and strategic enough that we could see the whole of KL.

We can even see KL Tower and KLCC from her hall. When the clock struck 12, fireworks were everywhere. KLCC, Starhill area, MidValley were all visible and based on what i saw, i personally thought MidValley was the best. Getting to see different fireworks display was great but of course you don’t get that ‘boom’ feeling whenever a firework goes off icon razz Steamboat on the 18th floor

Speaking of MidValley, before coming over to Charng’s place, Lingster and i were at The Gardens.

I am wondering if anyone else has parked at the Gardens before. The ramp exiting from the carpark towards Bangsar is rather narrow and even with a Waja, Lingster had a hardtime and so were other drivers. There were scratch marks along the wall towards the exit. I am not sure why was it built in that manner, unless they were expecting The Gardens to be filled with SmartForTwo users -_-” The picture above wasn’t taken quick enough so it’s hard to see what i meant.

We left Charng’s place close to 1am icon biggrin Steamboat on the 18th floor
