Photo Hunters – Party

I have attended numerous parties but most of the time, i don’t bring my camera. Having fear that i would misplace it. The next big thing i could come out with was watching Formula 1 live at Sepang Circuit. That in my opinion is one big party People were dressed up in their team colours, flags being waved all round the circuit and loud music being played at all corners. Of course the main difference between an actual party and this event is that you’ll hardly see anyone dancing but rather seeing cars going round the circuit over and over again F1 is more like a costume party or maybe a halloween party. The worst part of this particular party is the exit. Thousands of people and 3 small gates to let us out doesn’t seem to be a brilliant idea -_-” That was my interpretation of party in terms of F1 Have a great weekend everyone

Flashing at Murni SS2

Published by in camera, food on February 28th, 2008

Side Note: I was watching the Oscars last night and found out that the Best Music (Song) went to Falling Slowly I wrote an entry about this song and the movie not too long back but i was expecting one of the songs from Enchanted to win since that movie had 3 songs nominated. Out of those 3 songs from Enchanted, i liked So Close by Jon McLaughlin It has been many moons since i have sat at Murni of SS2. So when i heard there’s a meet up, i just couldn’t ignore it Thanks to Crapster and Marcus for giving a lift, hehehe. If you have no idea about Murni, it’s sort of a mamak place where you can get good food with unique combinations. Though the price is face-scratchingly expensive but it’s totally worth it, especially if you are there on an empty stomach as the portions are big. That night i ordered Nasi Goreng Special which has fried rice, keropok, wedges, egg and maryland chicken. Mmmmmm i already hungry just by describing it. Usually i will go for Loh Shi Fun but i really needed something heavy that night David of tomagogame.com ordered Mee Raja, Aaron ordered

Goodbye Apathy

It’s Saturday and i was forced to wake up at 7am @_@ Cyberjaya was having a paintball competition and after some last minute discussion, a few of us made a team and joined. This is actually my first time participating in a paintball competition and boy was i nervous. The phobia of being given a headshot has always been there ever since the first time i tried paintball but as usual ler, i had to show i had the nerves of steel Our team consisted of Jin Boone, Tobby (Jin Boone’s colleague) … … Ezriq, Bernard and of course me. We were suppose to get another player as standby but we couldn’t be bothered -_-” Ego all running high With the 5 of us in one team, we called ourselves Glorious Assassins ! *coughs coughs*

Photo Hunters – Wooden

I had a hard time finding something that is wooden till i stumbled upon this picture. Though it’s only part the wooden pier but it should be sufficient enough Not too long ago, i was brought to a certain country club by an Aussie friend of mine. She was showing how thick the growth in the lake was and so i decided to snap a picture of it. I was suppose to focus on the lake but thanks to the wrong settings, i captured the wooden pier instead @_@ The place is definitely scenic and it’s a great way to escape all the hustling and bustling of a busy town Have a great weekend everyone !

Straws and more straws

Published by in photos on February 21st, 2008

Was going through my collection of photos last night and realized i have quite a number of pictures of people drinking out of a straw So i thought of putting up an entry just for these few lucky souls, hahaha. Here’s a few that i manage to take recently S.Win – She had the straw in her mouth the whole time Wendy – Thinking of kangaroos and koala bears …. and probably America’s Next Top Model. Does that ring a bell ? Kev – at first he was reluctant to have his shot taken. So i waited for him to take a sip May Ling and her coconut at Jogoya Mr. Porkeroo aka Shao Xiong – i am gonna storm Australia, make sure your house has a place for me Sae Wei – Congrats, ahem ahem Give a wild guess who is the person in front of her ? Ralph aka Ketiak – multitasking, drink in one hand and phone in the other … and finally …. me

Details of my LIFE on a PALM LEAF

A few days after Chinese New Year, my mum was talking to me about leaf astrology whereby everything about us have been written on a palm leaf. Being hard headed like my dad, i told her i don’t believe in it and probably won’t waste my time nor money. But after i was told that our family friend tried and the person managed to get his name and his parents name right, i became curious. I was a bit cocky to be frank and told both my parents, if he can even get my name right i will pay him immediately. Of course all this wasn’t done spontaneously. I made sure no information was given out while he was on his way to my house, so much so we made him think that he was actually seeing another person in case he was to do a background check. Yes i can be ruthless at times but i just wanted to make sure there’s no hanky panky business going on. He finally sits right in front of me and asked for my thumbprint and as well as my date and time of birth. It took him close to 5-6minutes to do

Photo Hunters – Free

When i first saw the theme for this week, i knew i needn’t look any further but to feature my secondary school known as Penang Free School The word free there doesn’t imply that the students study there for free but it was to show that the school is opened to all students of different religion or belief. Here’s a brief description of my school taken from Wikipedia: Penang Free School is the oldest English School in Malaysia and the South East Asia region. The school founded by Rev. Sparke Hutchings in the year 1816 on October 21st., is located on the island of Penang, Malaysia. The Motto of the school is Fortis Atque Fidelis (pronounced for ‘tiz ud’ kway fi’ deliz) which is a Latin phrase for Strong and Faithful. Valentines Day – Behind the Scenes

Published by in crap on February 14th, 2008

Thanks to Chocolime again for this picture. In fact i used this very picture a year ago Yesterday i had a brief chat with ‘someone’ *not mentioning her name* about Valentines Day. She was telling how irritating some people can be, asking her how come she hasn’t had a date for Valentines Day. In fact i concluded that instead of not getting any date, i was pretty sure she was busy declining the invites which actually turned out to be true =P I wasn’t surprised at all because what i noticed about Valentines Day is that the ladies go out just for the sake of going out or simply because they feel obligated t. Just because the guy pesters her, she finally gives in and says,” At least better than not going out right ?” or ” He’s the best among the lot, no choice”. @_@ And as for the guys, they will be thinking that they finally got their break and hopefully from there on they can carry on with their pursuit which actually doesn’t happen in most cases. After all that effort, it ends as YET another dinner outing. Of course i am only referring to those who

A treat to Italianniese which went wrong

Who would give a pass when you are told that you are gonna be treated dinner at Italianniese ? Definitely not me. It has been a while since i have set foot in one of their outlets. So when Lingster gave me a call saying she was gonna treat me, i was ecstatic As usual, the bread came first and mmmmm it tasted really good. Since it was a treat, i took the opportunity to order those which is slightly more expensive than normal. Muahahaha. Yeah i know i am evil but come on ler, it’s only once in a while. When i gave my order, i could somehow sense that Lingster gave me the WTF look at me because my dish alone was close to 40bucks @_@ It’s been a norm for me to order Calimari whenever i am at Italianniese. But unfortunately, most of the squids were still drenched

Ipoh For A Day

Published by in food, fun on February 11th, 2008

Two weeks back, i had the chance to drop by Ipoh and to tell you the truth whenever i was back there i never enjoyed it. My parents would visit the same old places like where i used to live and show around the hospital that my dad used to work in. You get the drill. This time however, it was nothing close to that. Wendy was kind enough to show around. The first stop was at one of Ipoh’s famous Bean Sprout Chicken called Onn Kee which i mentioned a few entries ago. Then we went to the famous Old Town for Cham Ping and this particular shop is where the Old Town coffee originates from where you can see it being franchised all around the country. I have always passed by this place but never had the chance to explore and this time i finally get to see what’s behind the hidden caves. It’s Sam Poh Tong. Once you have gone thru a long tunnel-like cave, you would come to an opened space where this beautiful building is sitting hidden from everything else. Opposite it is an enclosed area for tortoises.
