The past one week i had consumed more bean sprout chicken rice than the whole of last year. It started off when i got back to KL. Weng Choong told me he wanted to bring me for some Char Siew Fan and i definitely won’t pass on that offer. Bernard and Wendy also joined us
Unfortunately when i reached there, the char siew finished and i took bean sprout chicken rice instead. This was at MingChu’s Serdang. It was too salty @_@.

The following day, Bernard called me out to have dinner with Jin Boone. After scouting for makan place around Cyberjaya, we ended up at this new chicken rice stall. Though the price of the whole set is quite steep, it definitely adds to the variety of food here in Cyberjaya.

Their setting was rather unique. There was a stall in the shop itself
And the whole place had that old-skool feeling.

Even the walls were fitted with wood paneling to bring out the kampung-ness of that place
In terms of food, i would say not bad ler. Out of 10, probably 5 points
Those close by should try it, it’s near New Town Cafe.

The final one was at ground zero for bean sprout chicken, Ipoh. This time around, Wendy was the person who suggested to have Bean Sprout Chicken. Of course you don’t go all the way to Ipoh and not have Bean Sprout Chicken. The shop was called Onn Kee and judging from the pictures of celebrities around and the crowd, one would know that this place is well established. The only mistake i made was having rice instead of koay theow.

The bean sprout looked like they were given steroids. It was fatter compared to normal bean sprout that you would normally have.

I liked the chicken because it wasn’t too salty nor did it taste flat. Another concern i normally have when i consume steamed chicken is the blood that will appear near the bone area. Thankfully there weren’t any
Bean Sprout Chicken anyone ?

how bout KL’s Fei Por Kai Fan?
there is one down the road where Petaling Street’s Nam Heong kai fan is … very good …
Never had the original Ipoh bean sprout chicken before. The closest thing I ever had was the bean sprout chicken rice in Kelana Jaya just after the LRT station if coming from Bandar Utama direction towards Sunway/Puchong, and it was good!
I guess the price was like RM28 whole chicken.
