Mistaken Gender

Before leaving work, i thought of getting myself some kuih since i was going to be in the jam for 40minutes. So i went to the canteen. Bang, yang ini berapa ? *points at the karipap* (Brother, how much is this?) Saya ini Kak ler ! (I am Sister ler !) Ok probably the English translation is kinda weird but the point is, i thought the person selling behind the stall was a man @.@! I ended up buying with a super thick face as the lady stares at me >.<!

The Chronicles of Cambodia 7: Angkor Wat & Amazon Angkor

I suddenly had the inspiration to blog about Cambodia again after Chiaw Yin passed a very random statement over on Facebook. “Mr Shiya is very good”. I was cracking my head on who is this fella and why is she telling me this. Then it clicked me ! Mr Shiya aka Siya was our tourguide in Siem Reap and i used to call him as Ya. I knew Chiaw Yin was in Siem Reap not long ago but i never knew she also got him as her guide. The best part was, she said he still remembers me ! ^.^ But to be frank, he is one hell of a guide, to be honest. Though we occasionally teach him the wrong things in Hokkien, hahahaa. The picture above shows a note from one of the kid saying she isn’t well to do and she supports the family by selling books. The thing about the kids, they really look pitiful but if you

A hole

I was on my way for a meeting with the supervisor and manager when i realized a small thread dangling a few inches below the zip of my pants. I decided to yank the bugger off before entering the meeting room. Little did i know, that little thread was actually holding the the 2 main section of my pants together. As i sat, i felt a cold breeze over the southern region. I glanced down and to my horror, there was a hole in my pants T.T I tried crossing my legs but decided to ditch the idea cause it will just give the wrong impression. I tried lowering my neck so that my tie would sort off cover it. But i naturally would straighten my back and the hole reappears. In the end, i casually folded my arms. I did that throughout the whole day, during lunch, in the clean-room, briefing >.<! Luckily i have 1 more pants to spare. Have to get myself a needle and thread to mend the hole. P/S: Wooohooooo Friday is a holiday ! A replacement for Deepavali !
