I was on my way back from Penang after having a one week break to distress myself and just as i stepped back into KL, i was stressed out all over again.

Just before i departed Penang Airport, i got a call from William.

Will-e: Eh later what time you are reaching KLIA ?
M-e: I dunno … about 8pm like that. Depends on how fast my luggage comes out.
Will-e: Ooooo, hehehehe.
M-e: Why ?
Will-e: Jess said she is bored in Cyberjaya, so we thought we come and pick you up.
M-e: ….
Will-e: Ok or not ?
M-e: Ok i guess
Will-e: So instead of paying for the train, you pay me lah ok ?
M-e: …

So i boarded the plane and after one full hour, i reached KL. As i was walking towards the exit of the arrival gate, i messaged William saying that i have arrived and he could probably drive to the exit instead of parking.

But just as i pressed ‘Send’ on my phone and tilted my head up, my eyes went @_@!

I was dumbfounded !

I pulled down my cap to cover my face and walked away from them. Jess and William on the other hand laughed their hearts out $@#%@%@^ >_<!

Seriously, malu (shy) until there’s no room to malu any more Grrrrrrrr. Ever since then, i swore to do something similar or probably worst to them when the time comes.

Since everyone burnt so much calories laughing, we decided to have dinner at Burger King @ KLIA itself

If i am not mistaken at that point of time, Steven was still in his hometown.

Later on, we all went to William’s place to snap a couple of portrait shots for Jess as she needed a picture for her convocation.

We goofed around in William’s room by randomly snapping pictures of each other. Sooner or later, Jess was finally happy with one picture and the task was done.

Then Jess tried to familiarize with William’s Sony Alpha cause *if i got this right* Jess could be a proud owner of DSLR soon. Let me stress here, could only. Cause for all you know Vincci might make her think otherwise.

On a side note, William has a rather unique room mate. No sarcasm intended but i really meant it when i say unique. Cause this is the first time …

… i am seeing Holy Water being kept in bottles. I am not sure if this was one of it but i did see one in those medicine bottles with a big label stating that it’s Holy Water.

After a couple of hours hanging around, i finally reached my room and right away i dropped dead onto my bed and dozed off. I was that tired. In fact, as i am writing this entry right now i am also tired.

Haven’t been sleeping much for the past few days but yesterday’s movie outing for Mama Mia was MIND BLASTING ! *saying it with Russell Peters’ accent* LOL. At one point of the show, when Pierce Brosnan was about to introduce himself, his spokesperson Mr Steven Tan said aloud in the cinema, the name is Bond, James Bond. WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA. A lot of people laughed can. ROFL that was a good one

Yesterday i had the chance to watch Comedy Court in Putrajaya and i have never laughed that much before. I was lucky enough to tag along with Tharan, Fabian, Adrian and Boon Chew to the show. As we approached to the counter to collect our tickets, we realized the envelope holding our tickets were the only one without a title of Datuk, Dato or YB -_-” We were probably the youngest there. Since it was free seating, everyone rushed to get their seats and we ended up seating first row.

I first watched their show called The Executive Spa where they collaborated with Patrick Teoh back in 2003. I have never seen any Malaysian show like this before. It was like the Comedy Central of Malaysia where you can criticize anybody just for the sake of comedy Of course some might not like it because it’s offensive but my friends and i definitely loved it. In fact i have watched it over and over again.

Earlier in the year, i was expecting Russell Peters in Malaysia but the show didn’t go on after it wasn’t given the green light by Malaysian Authorities and that was a big disappointment. I would really love to watch staged comedy and so to hear that they were gonna perform in Putrajaya, i was really delighted because this place is definitely dead after working hours, worst still if it were the weekends.

It was two hours of spicy socio-political humour on daily Malaysian life and everyone was criticized. No one was left out

After the show, everyone had to wait at the lobby for their vehicles as it was pouring like cats and dogs. As i was waiting, i noticed the cars that turned up were nothing less than an Audi. Maybe there were Hondas or Toyotas but nothing could beat the Kancil that Adrian drove over, hahaha.

Four months back, a Sudoku competition was held at Putrajaya. Lingster who loves Sudoku pestered me to accompany her. Of course i didn’t hesitate unless i was planning to experience the wrath of Lingster. The competition was still a month away and i totally forgot about it.

A day before the event, Lingster was Sudoku-ing like there’s no tomorrow. I am not sure when did she go coo coo but out of a sudden, she said that she’s dragging me into the competition eventhough i haven’t tried any Sudoku before. I have seen it the papers but i never bothered. Before even agreeing to join, she met up with me and gave me a crash course on Sudoku.

To those who have no idea what Sudoku is, let me briefly explain the objective of this game. As you can see the example below, this is how a typical sudoku puzzle looks like. What you must achieve is inserting the numbers 1-9 once in each of the 9 squares you see. Besides that, the number can’t be repeated neither horizontally nor vertically. I know it sounds complicated but once you have tried a few puzzles, you will get a hang of it.

So anyway, the crash course lasted for like half an hour and i was back in my room trying all sorts of puzzles thrown to me by Lingster.

The day finally arrived and we reached the venue right on time. There was no category for Sudoku, so all around me i could see small kids, probably 9 years of age onwards. We were given 15 minutes to complete and majority of the participants manage to complete the puzzle, whether it’s right or wrong that’s a different question all together. As for me, i made a mistake towards the end. The problem with Sudoku is, when there’s a mistake and you want to backtrack, you might as well wave the white flag. I am not sure how Lingster does it if she was in my shoes but having less than 24 hours of exposure to Sudoku, i knew i did what i could.

Lingster made it to the finals where she was accompanied by two more participants. You could see in the picture why Lingster and I felt out of place. Everyone is still schooling and that made us, olddddddd.

The finals started and the same amount of time was given. The girl above was Lingster’s closest competitor. I personally feel she’s kiasu. It doesn’t only show on her face but on her father as well. He kept walking up and down beside Lingster’s table to see where she is compared to his daughter.

Lingster never realized what he was doing as she was too busy with her puzzle. The father even gave me a stern look before returning to his seat towards the end -_-”

After handing up the puzzle, Lingster and i lazed around waiting for the prize giving ceremony. As usual, there’s the speech from the VIP and the organizers, followed by the prize giving. There was also free gifts for participating and i got a bag of stationaries.

Lingster got bored and started playing with the given stationaries. After 10 minutes or so, the emcee finally announced that it was time to find out who is the winner for the Sudoku competition. Noticed the long nails on Lingster’s paws hands? She jammed those nails into my arm and said she was nervous -_-” If nervous then jam it into your thighs ler ….

Bear with me for my poor quality picture. I had to zoom from the place i was sitting. Funny thing is, the 2nd placing and 3rd placing had more cheers compared to when Lingster was on stage. She couldn’t be bothered and so was I. After getting her prize, we zoomed off from that place leaving all those prying eyes behind.

This is what we spent on that day:

Entry fees: RM 3 X 2 = RM 6 (yes Lingster decided to pay for my participation fee)
Breakfast: RM 2.50 X 2 = RM 5

So after so called splashing 11 bucks, what did she get in return ? A 3G handphone courtesy of Sony Ericsson Not a bad investment after all

Like i have said in my previous post that it has been raining cats and dogs lately. And now it has gone into the 5th straight day that it rains in the evening. Yesterday it rained slightly ahead of schedule and right away i knew this is not a normal evening rain.

As i was reading my notes, drips of rain water started dripping in from the window. Later on, it started pouring in as though some one aimed a hose right to my window. Immediately i closed it. I walked over to the other window which wasn’t affected like mine and peeped out to see the surrounding.

This is what i saw from my window and you could see muddy, murky water around the carpark area. At that point of time, i sent out a message to those in my YM list, warning them of a possible flood. At the same time, i thought it would be fun to see how fast would the message return to me. My screen was filled with my forwarded message within seconds.

Water started filling up the carpark as the rain continued to pour. Noticed the MyVi ? I think it should be a few months old only, judging from the number plate. The owner didn’t realize what was happening.

My forwarded message kept popping out for the next 10 minutes and at least i know i have done something to warn the owners. Take note of the orange object in the picture above. I am not sure what is it called, temporary divider ? What ever it is called, look at the one behind the MyVi, not the one beside.

Now where is it ?

The cars parked at the end of the carpark were the worst i think. At least the water didn’t go higher than the tyres but it’s bad enough to cover up the exhaust pipe. After like 10-15 minutes, a few owners started appearing and one by one moved the vehicle to higher grounds.

After half an hour of heavy down pour, it stopped. It stopped almost instantaneously. I popped my head out of the window again and could see that the water started receding.

Water started gushing down the drains, manholes, anywhere possible.

The sun tried to peep through those dark clouds which will be back again, every evening. I like when it rains because everything seems to be greener and fresh right after that. But i hate it when it rains on every single day. I can hardly go out in the evenings for a simple brisk walk.

You know i mentioned about the forwarded message i did, well the last one that came to me today morning at 8am -___-”
