Last Friday was the first time i tried the food over at iKea and i never knew people would actually come all the way from Penang to try the food there, LOL. Upon reaching there i was told that this chocolate thingy (totally forgot the name, probably i was too busy chomping it down) is quite well known. It tasted something like a giant ‘Crispy’ Before heading to iKea i was at Bangsar Village for the warehouse sale and since Lingster has a HSBC credit card, there’s a 10% percent off on top of the marked down price.

What does Kenko have in common with Yo! Sushi?
It was a Friday and it was one FISHY FRIDAY. Weng Choong knew i had no classes so he appeared in Cyberjaya for a game of squash. This is what i call ‘semangat’. Hahaha. He was so enthusiastic that he drove all the way from Seremban, lol. 5ive minutes into the game, i pulled my hamstring -_-” Ridiculously unfit man me. But somehow i managed to pull through and play a few more games before hitting the showers. Then we headed off to Pavillion. Before Pavillion, we stopped by at Sungai Wang to donate some cash, lol. Hence the result of the picture above. No no it has nothing to do with me buying Hello Kitty items, it’s way beyond that. Thanks David for the explanation Bernard called us up and said he would be late cause he was stuck at Midvalley for Careerfair. So i suggested to try Yo! Sushi since Shaz was telling me so much about it the other time i met him. Mind you, i had a hard time taking the plates off the belt. Simply because the price isn’t similar to Sushi King. The most expensive plate is 16bucks So half of the time, we

Shaz and Wai Seng Gary and Me Later

Ipoh For A Day
Two weeks back, i had the chance to drop by Ipoh and to tell you the truth whenever i was back there i never enjoyed it. My parents would visit the same old places like where i used to live and show around the hospital that my dad used to work in. You get the drill. This time however, it was nothing close to that. Wendy was kind enough to show around. The first stop was at one of Ipoh’s famous Bean Sprout Chicken called Onn Kee which i mentioned a few entries ago. Then we went to the famous Old Town for Cham Ping and this particular shop is where the Old Town coffee originates from where you can see it being franchised all around the country. I have always passed by this place but never had the chance to explore and this time i finally get to see what’s behind the hidden caves. It’s Sam Poh Tong. Once you have gone thru a long tunnel-like cave, you would come to an opened space where this beautiful building is sitting hidden from everything else. Opposite it is an enclosed area for tortoises.
Annual Dinner 2008 @ E&O Penang
Yesterday marked the 3rd year of me being involved with Apple products. I couldn’t believe that time passed by that fast and it was just like yesterday when there’s only 10 or less in the entire team and right now there’s like 60 plus. Our annual dinner this time was held at E&O Penang and theme given was black/white for the guys and pink for the girls unlike last year where we had to dress up as professions. I took this opportunity to use my DSLR to the max and i ended up with 500 over pictures -_-” Of course not all turned out well. But i have to say that when you are equiped with a DSLR, people just tend to pose and wouldn’t mind if their pictures are taken. And this is regardless if you are noob or an expert I barely know how to use all the buttons on the camera and there i was snapping away like i have been doing it for years -_-” So please bear with my amateurish shots
Steamboat on the 18th floor
It was New Year Eve and Charng had a small gathering at her apartment to do our very own steamboat. Basically that’s all the ingredients that we used. The day before that, Jiin and Charng went to buy them and so happened bumped into Vivien. So all three of them ended up buying what was needed. The table was too small to accommodate everything, so we shifted everything down. Furthermore Jiin brought along her Korean steamboat cooker (not sure how do i even call that ). HsuiYong, Lin Lin and Jiin Newspapers were spread on the floor and we transferred everything from the table to the middle of the hall. I have to say, the Korean styled steamboat was really a good idea except the cleaning part, hahaha. We used too much butter and it made a layer of black hardened butter on the pan which took time to clean.
Silhouette Shots at St. Anne’s Church
Thanks to the long break last week due to Hari Raya Aidil Adha and Christmas, i was back again in Penang. This time around, my relatives came over and i had to be the host to my nephew and nieces. One of my aunts wanted to visit St. Anne’s Church, so the whole jing bang accompanied her there. While she was walking around, my siblings and i took a couple of silhouette shots. Personally i feel the best time for this type of shots is when the sun is setting. So there will be a tinge of orange Sis – Big time poser -_-”
Live & Loud KL 07: Acoustic
AWESOME ! AWESOME ! AWESOME ! This is my first time attending to an acoustic concert and it’s definitely not the last. Live & Loud KL: Acoustic consisted of Dayang Nurfaizah, Rick Price and James Morrison. The show started in that very order with Dayang singing a few of her songs as well as singing a cover from Christina Aguilera. Then it was Rick Price’s turn to entertain. He sang quite a number of blues and ended with Heaven Knows. With all due respect to the two artists but I was pretty sure more than ninety percent of the attendees were there mainly because of James Morrison, period. Girls just kept screaming for him. There’s even one part towards the end where one of the girls somehow manages to get herself on the stage to pass him flowers before security pulled her down. The videos that i manage to take were amateurish. I would have to warn you though, as watching it could induce vomiting as my hand was constantly shaking It’s still watchable even after reducing the quality substantially.
Decapitated Panda
That’s right people, last night a panda was sacrificed for my own personal gain. I know this sounds rather stupid but if you are lost and have no idea what i am talking about, let me brief you on what’s what. Exactly a year ago, i joined a community of shouters whereby they convey their messages shouts thru an app which was developed by Lasker and Elise of PenangPenang.com. What this app does is, it displays live messages which are typed from any blog that has it. By doing so, one would have a so called instant chat messenger ala mIRC style in their blog. I was introduced to ShoutOut by Ai Ling and to be frank i had no idea what was it all about at first. All i could remember was she saying, just put that in your blog and see what happens Back then the community was barely a fraction of the people who participate nowadays. Of course nothing starts off with instantaneous hit, everything has to be taken in small steps ( ban ban lai ). So as the community grew, more features were added and one main feature was the shout count. Here in shoutout,

Samurai Sudoku and Stardust
I was summoned by Lingster to accompany her to One Utama as she was taking part in MSIG’s Samurai Sudoku. If you didn’t know, Samurai Sudoku consist of 5 sudoku puzzles shaped like an ‘X’. When we arrived there, most of the participants were wearing their bandana which made the atmosphere all the better. There were 2 catergories which are the NI and SAN. In those 2 categories there were different time slots for different people. Lingster was in the 2.30pm group and since we had time to spare, we went one floor lower to get the James Morrison tickets. We took out a hefty 183 ringgit each and the best part was we met Duncan later in the day where we were told that The Curve had a booth selling the tickets with 20% off -_-” $#%$^%&$^&$%&$
