Crocs are ridiculously expensive

That’s practically the first thing that pops up in my head. Crocs are just overpriced pieces of plastic especially in Malaysia compared to the US. I never even considered owning a pair till i spoke to my dad on the phone the other day. I told him i heard Crocs will be having year end sales and i asked if it was worth getting since he has a pair of Crocs slippers. You see, the main problem i have with Crocs besides their daylight-robbery-price-tags are their designs. I am not saying all their designs are awful but majority are. And i would rather spend on something else than to pay so much to look weird. Back to my dad, he told me to have a look and get a pair if possible cause the pasar-malam slippers i have been getting all these years are just in baddd, i mean really baddddddddddd when it comes to walking on cement. There’s just no grip. After double checking the address from Jolene’s blog, i headed off towards Subang airport and arrived about 4.30pm. It wasn’t any fancy warehouse sale like those i have been in Bangsar, etc but rather a canopy was raised

Samurai Sudoku and Stardust

I was summoned by Lingster to accompany her to One Utama as she was taking part in MSIG’s Samurai Sudoku. If you didn’t know, Samurai Sudoku consist of 5 sudoku puzzles shaped like an ‘X’. When we arrived there, most of the participants were wearing their bandana which made the atmosphere all the better. There were 2 catergories which are the NI and SAN. In those 2 categories there were different time slots for different people. Lingster was in the 2.30pm group and since we had time to spare, we went one floor lower to get the James Morrison tickets. We took out a hefty 183 ringgit each and the best part was we met Duncan later in the day where we were told that The Curve had a booth selling the tickets with 20% off -_-” $#%$^%&$^&$%&$

Beowulf sucked and Scattergories

What is your name? Satkuru 4 letter word: Soup Vehicle: Subaru City: San Francisco Guy’s Name: Simon Girl Name: Sarah Alcoholic drink: Sex on the beach -_-” Something you wear: Sneaker Occupation: Secretary Celebrity: Simon Cowell Food: Sushi Something found in a bathroom: Soap Reason for Being Late: Slept late ? Cartoon character: Superman Something You Shout: Sucks lar ? -_-” (tagged by Wendy) Yesterday i followed Weng Chong, Bernard and Wendy to Sunway to watch Beowulf. First of all the new Sunway building looked sucky and it’s as though they did it in rush and couldn’t come out with a better design. Of all the new/expanded shopping complexes i would say Pavillion had more appeal. So now back to the movie, i am not giving out any spoilers but i have to say the movie would have been better if it was shot in real life. There’s just too much hype for this movie and if it wasn’t for the short jokes, i would have just slept off. Final verdict – Bernard: Wasted my 10bucks ! WengChong: I don’t even know what’s the story about Wendy: …… ME: At least we got to say Angelina Jolie topless in CG,

A French weekend at the Curve

Disappointed. That’s what i can say about Marche. I have heard many of my friends having lunch and dinner in Marche and i thought this place has to be good. Other wise, they wouldn’t have returned for a second time. As for me. it’s definitely my first and last visit to Marche. Lingster and i were at the Curve last weekend and we decided to drop by at Marche for a late lunch. As we were waiting in line, we were showed how their card system worked whereby each patron will be given a card and as we order, the card will be stamped. More or less the same as Food Loft in Gurney Plaza Penang but here they use rubber stamps to mark the card. After getting our table, we walked around to see what we could order. Marche has a very nice setting. It’s more like a Sunday market where you could see fresh vegetables, fruits, meat and poultry but with a European touch. That’s how i knew the meaning of Marche (Marche =Market, in French). To be honest, the choices were quite limited and more over the section for meat and poultry had a rather rude cook.
