Tonight is the night ! It doesn’t matter what supporter you are but Champions League Finals are here and it’s between ManUtd and Barcelona ! I am a big fan of Man United and i also do follow Barcelona over in Spanish League. So hope to watch an entertaining match !

This will be the final entry on Malaysian Dream Girl and it’s about time that i continue with my Cambodia trip and a few more drafted entries. The finale was held at the Curve, Damansara. I was accompanied by a troop of Shouters, hahaha and if you have no idea what shouters mean, i will explain it later on.

There’s Angeline, Jess, Steven, Daniel, Aaron and William who suddenly appeared out of thin air.

Upon reaching there, Andrew said he and i were asked to be the O.P.

So i stood at one place to snap and to be frank, barely any of the models looked towards me, lol. So i took more of the crowd instead.

The night was focused on three girls to see who is crowned as the winner but there are some girls who did steal the spot light during the catwalk.

The girls definitely look better than what i saw in Mist Club during their first runway show. Anyway, for this finale it was a bit different from last season. This time around there were 2 host, Elaine and Will. Besides that this is the first time Viewers Awards were introduced to the show.

Shasya still continued to rock the runway with her catwalk and among the remaining girls, i thought Pinky improved the most. She knew where to stop for the photographers and she looked so comfortable in all of her outfits.

The finale was hosted by Elaine and Will Quah. Both of them did an awesome job emcee-ing for the night

Ming and her dad, Uncle Jason, were presented with the most entertaining phone call. Speaking of Ming, she was one of the few who didn’t have a facebook group fan during the course of the competition, not until someone came up with one after the finale which was probably a bit too late.

Where other girls have been gaining supporters from Facebook, Ming had fans silently supporting her and in another small community known as ShoutOutLounge, Ming has been a topic off and on. ShoutOutLounge is a place where one could add this live shoutbox on their blogs and basically chat with whoever is on it.

With the new photo sharing function, photos of her were shared and many then became fans of Ming’s. In fact during the weeks she was in MDG, her photos were at the top of the pile, being the most commented.

I am pretty sure the facebook groups have been heavily publicized for the top 3 so i am here showing that there’s still other communities that discuss about the girls and ShoutOutLounge was one of it

Will conversing with Uncle Jason, saying that he is probably one of the famous figures out of MDG The phone calls were really funny, so go watch them if you have the time

The show wouldn’t have been what it is without the judges, Elaine, Andrew and Julie. Jimmy couldn’t make it that night.

I was at the MAS training center last Friday for their Cabin Crew Experience and it was blardy awesome ! i had the chance to be in Business and First class as well as slide down the emergency slide and be on the life raft. Will be blogging about it soon

If you don’t know already, Dawn, Juanita and Pinky are in the final three of Malaysian Dream Girl Season 2. The finale will be held at the Curve this coming Friday (15th of May 2009) 7pm and the winner will be crowned on that night itself. Ideal for anyone who is interested in photography. All top 12 girls will be there, so take this opportunity to go berserk with your cameras

I was fortunate enough to be involved with the production crew since December last year and i was able to see how each girl grew into what they are 5 months later. My task on Malaysian Dream Girl was to observe and report the details which can’t be seen in the episodes to the public and these are the few entries that i have written:

Mist Club Photoshoot

Of all tasks, my favourite would be the final photoshoot which was at the Mist Club. Simply because it was different and it was the closest it got to being like ANTM (America’s Next Top Model). Besides that, the girls finally had a chance to work with a male model called Ricardo.

Here are a few shots of the top 3 in Mist Club.

All three of them are strong in many ways and it’s hard to actually pinpoint a winner, especially when the whole system is based on votes via sms.

So let’s assume there weren’t any voting system and it was solely based on their performances throughout the competition.

If you were to plot on a graph on how these girls performed, Juanita would be a straight line across and probably a spike towards the end, Dawn’s would an inclining line and Pinky’s up and down but finishing on a high note. Ok that was probably rubbish … -_-!

The person who had the biggest risk should actually win for being able to go thru everything and anything that has been thrown at her and that’s DAWN. Pinky has gorgeous pictures taken off and on, she walks the runway well but has problem with her speech. Juanita has been strong in her photoshoots but the personality side of her doesn’t seem to click well with the viewers and that’s something hard to analyze.

As much as i am thinking Dawn could win the whole thing, the recent episode did show a different side of her when Juanita was explaining. I was left dumbfounded. Juanita basically shot herself in the foot yet again. I remembered she asking me about the way she speaks and i did tell her choose the correct words but after much silents, she finally spoke up again and i seriously have nothing else to say.

So with this 2 girls in the limelight for probably the wrong reasons, don’t be surprised if Pinky actually came from behind to win.

I received a forwarded message stating how dirty one of the restaurants in SS2 is. Then it triggered me to write a few random things on food and also their services. Instead of having a few individual entries, i might as well write all in one to clear the backlog i am having @_@

It has been in a while since i had dim sum and when William asked i was interested in tagging along, i never hesistated a bit. To be frank i am not sure where is it and all i did was drive to God knows where and it wasn’t near as i can remember.

I was so used to having dim sum hot hot from the tray and i was surprised when the fella took away the plates that i chose. Then later on i was told that they would actually heat up once you have picked. LOL that was really something different. As usual the price was according to KL’s standard and taste was like normal

For the past few weeks i have been deprieved of sleep and when it came to the final day of submission, Gary and i went to McD for breakfast just to fill out stomaches before hibernating like bears. But to my dismay, i had a slight problem with the staffs over at McD. I was already drained for not having enough sleep, thus being moody. Then this lady comes with a high pitch voice denying what i was trying to convey.

Here’s the situation, I was about to order the breakfast value meal when Gary pointed the happy meal to me. The reason was because i wanted to change the free tea/coffee to milo and since i had to pay extra, Gary asked why not get the Happy Meal since it’s shown on the board that it comes with milo, hence the picture above.

So I asked the lady for the happy meal instead.

She immediately said that then i have to pay a certain amount for the milo cause it comes with coke instead >_<”

Then i pointed to the board saying that it shows the plus sign with the burger, so why do i have to pay ?

She gave some reason that i couldn’t be bothered off and ordered the the normal meal instead. I was already tired and hungry and if i did continue arguing, i could have lost my cool and walked off instead.

Even Gary tried to reason out with her but it probably fell onto deaf ears.

As the saying goes, “A hungry man is an angry man”.

I should have just gone to the market and got myself wan tan mee rather than having McD breafast -_-”

Vegetarian food isn’t how it used to be. In fact i enjoy it even more these days especially with restaurants trying to maintain the taste and style eventhough it’s vegetarian. Last week i had Vegetarian Singapore Bihun and Mushroom Fried Rice and boy was it delicious …. in terms of price lol. But seriously it tasted good.

Recently i was bloghopping and was at Deb’s blog when she wrote about Bubba Gump Shrimp and i thought of having it go. Too bad i had to rely on my cameraphone rather than my DSLR. From the service to the food, everything was top notch. We were ushered to our places when we got there and i couldn’t stop looking around as the setting was one of it’s kind. It has that old shabby look, with wooden paneling and zinc being used.

We ordered both their recommended choices, dumbluck prawns served with cajun marmalade and bourbon street barramundi. Thought the price was steep but the atmosphere, the food as well as the service could make you think otherwise.

For dessert, i had no idea what to order when the waiter asked. I recalled seeing one that i was interested while flipping through the menu earlier on. So i described to the waiter it was that chocolate thing and he smiled and said, ” Why don’t i get you the menu”

When i got the menu and checked for the one i was referring, it was named, “That chocolate thing !” LOL, how ironic is that. Probably they themselves couldn’t come up with a name and left it as, “That chocolate thing”.

That Chocolate Thing consist of ice cream, with chocolate fudge i think and chocolate cake with strawberry syrup ? Something like that, i was just too busy digging in that my taste buds lost track -_-”

On the way to the Curve, William asked if i could feel his rear left wheel wobbling and i said yes but it wasn’t that obvious unless if i wasn’t been told about. So the assumption was his car needs allignment.

But we thought wrong and on the way back from the Curve the inevitable happened …

The tyre blew and the next thing we knew, we were on the side of LDP just before Western Digital. The last time i encountered a ‘phailed’ tyre was with Bernard and all we did was called up David, LOL. But this time around William single handedly change it himself. Steven, Jess and I just stood there like dodo birds, hahaha.

Probably William was trying to show his macho-ness …

William insisted that he should be photographed. So that’s what i did … i whipped out my handphone, snapped a couple of shots and mms-ed to a bunch of people @_@

We were stranded for barely half an hour before moving again.

Moral of the story: Please please check/service all tyres and not only the front pair and please, if you noticed that the tyre is getting bald, change it -_-”

P/P/S: I received a comment not too long back and i thought it was worth adding it to the entry as everyone should know the danger of changing tyre on a highway or even a normal trunk road. Thank you anonymous

What you did was very dangerous. Many people have died from what you guys did. You should never change a tyre on the highway, not even on the emergency lane. A car or another vehicle travelling at high speed would hit you.

The advisable thing to do was to continue driving (even if it means destroying your wheel/tyre) off the highway to a safe location, then only change your tyre. At least you gain a life.
