After my first few nervy encounters with Angeline’s parents, i took the next step which is to invite her parents over to my home. And what other better time than Deepavali to invite them over. I think i had to correct my invitation message a couple of times before actually sending it to her dad. I never got any reply after that and Angeline never said anything if her parents did mention anything regarding my invitation. The next morning, Deepavali day itself, i was too busy running around getting things down before the whole jingbang came to my house. This is in fact the first time i was having an open house. 2 hours before lunch hour, i went over to Angeline’s house to pick her up. That’s when she told me that her family was coming over. I was like O.O! So i messaged my sister telling her to inform my parents. So many things ran through my head like what are my parents going to say to her parents or will i do anything stupid.
