Malaysian Ringgit had the same value as Singaporean Dollar

Well that’s what one Singaporean lady told me when i was queueing at Burger King for my lunch. I was actually at Singapore Expo that particular day and since it was lunch hour, i thought of giving Burger King a try since they do serve pork compared to Malaysia. So as i was lining up, i took my wallet off to reach for a ten dollar bill. I was scanning through the notes until i came to an orangish, yellowish bill. As i pulled it out my eyes grew larger and larger till it clearly showed … “$10 – Sepuluh Ringgit Negara Brunei” I was like goodness gracious, where’s the 10 dollar Sing that was suppose to be there. My reaction was so noticable that a lady on the next queue patted my shoulder and said not to worry, the value is the same as Singaporean Dollar. I sighed in relief and said, “Really ? That was a close call.” LOL Then i was given a brief history lesson about currencies by this lady Once upon a time, when your parents were still in their teens …. (ok i made that up). Many decades ago, when Malaysia was just formed,

Malu-ation at KLIA

I was on my way back from Penang after having a one week break to distress myself and just as i stepped back into KL, i was stressed out all over again.

The Magic Undies

First i lost a bunch of undies which was conveniently drying out at the drying bay. Then it magically appeared back after 3 days. Since it was old and it roamed to God knows where for 3 days, i decided to discard it. I was then surviving on limited number of undies so it was critical that it dried in time … … but the weather was so unpredictable and the remaining ones couldn’t dry in time -_-” So for the weekend, i resorted in using my speedos. Sigh, i seriously need to get a box of undies soon

Phailed

A few days a go i joined my fellow comrades in the ‘PHAILED’ regime, simply because my site was down. William was the first to say, “Satkuru, you iz phailed” -_-” In fact i have renewed it more than a week before the expiring date but a miscommuncation with the webhosting company cause it to be down for 96 hours in some places. So to those you were so nice to actually drop me messages asking where in the world is my blog when you only see a weird looking page, i thank you for your concern I have so much to blog about but everything seems to be backlogged because i don’t have enough time to write >_<” For the time being, let me share with you a few of the ‘phailed’ moments that were captured in the past few months Hung Wei failed in focusing I failed in setting my camera in the right settings that it made this picture look like there was an enormous explosion -_-” LOL i wonder if you all noticed what’s wrong with this picture P/S: Go watch WALL-E ! It was better than i expected, seriously. Two thumbs up. Evaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !

Why only half of your arm has hair ?

Jess was asking whether i would like her to iron or rather straighten the hair on my arm which led to me writing this entry. Jess i shall spare you this time, since it’s your Bday. If not no mercy! I am glad to say that i am blessed with so many nieces that whenever one is big enough to talk, they will ask questions where you might just end up stabbing your eyes with a fork. But then again, i have gone thru this drill so many times that i got used to it until a few weeks back. I was at my Aunt’s place and ran came my niece who is still in kindergarten asking me riddles that she came up with. Then out of the blue, she held my hand and asked: SHE: Why only half of your arm has hair and the upper half doesn’t? ME: ………… -_-” Cousin: That’s because the lower half is Indian arm and the upper half is Chinese arm *smirkes* ME: @_@! …………….. SHE: OOOoooooo …. ME: Hehehehe yes yes *i just agreed to keep things short and probably to end the conversation* SHE: So do you shampoo your lower arm

Policeman didn’t like my name

I was on my way back to Cyberjaya when i decided to floor the accelerator of my car. The road was an alternative route and it’s usually empty especially close to midnight. Just as my car was accelerating up the hill, i saw blue and red lights flashing. My eyes literally popped out and i stopped chewing my gum. I slowed down my car as i approached the road block … … just that very afternoon my mum called to say that one of my nuffnang cheques was already cashed in and i was thinking, well there goes that money -_-” … Police: Lesen dan IC ( license and identification card) … I handed over to the officer while i tried to give those pitiful look ala Puss in Boots from Shrek -_-” which obviously failed big time when i knew i was speeding like a donkey. Police: Kenapa tak diberi nama Johnny ke …? (Why weren’t you given the name like Johnny?) Me: Eheheheheh *giving those dumb grins* Police: Siapa bagi nama kamu ini ? (Who gave you this name ?) Me: Bapa saya (My dad) swt Police: Bapa bagi ??? Bila kamu ini balik kampung nanti, pergi marah

Dunhill brought classical music to my ears

Published by in outing, penang on June 24th, 2008

Just got back from Redang and i am still swaying around as though i am still at sea @_@ I was never a fan of classical music and i remembered how my dad used to play the cds that he got from Reader’s Digest and i would go bonkers. In fact at times i would show tantrums *the joy of being a kid* just to get the song changed or the cd player switched off. But all that slowly changed and i started to appreciate classical music but not to the extend where i go gaga over it. During my younger years i remembered how much time i wasted sitting in front of the tele box watching shows after shows on either tv1, tv2 o tv3. There’s one particular session where i definitely wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world and that’s the Dunhill Double BlockBuster. Every Thursday and Friday i will be glued to the tele watching what ever they had to offer and i tell you those movies were top notch, i mean for that time ler. It brought the world of time traveling to me and it made a strong impact that i even asked my

Birthday at Chillis Midvalley

Published by in fun on May 16th, 2008

This entry has been long overdue mainly because i took only a handful of pictures and that wasn’t sufficient enough to even start the entry. So i wanna thank HUNG WEI for all the pictures About half a moon ago, i met up with a bunch of people who were all dying to dress up and celebrate Anna‘s and Daphne‘s Birthday. At first the attire was formal but after a few people chickened out, we decided to stick to semi formal. Nevertheless, the ladies did go all out and the guys ? Hahaha i guess we didn’t take it seriously >_<” Before the gathering, i met up with Daniel, Jason, Elvie, Jess, Steven and Angeline in front of GSC to catch Jantan Besi. After the movie, we walked around before buying the cake and heading to Chillis. Everyone was busy snapping photos of each other while i was sitting at one corner …. watching football -_-” I got bored and did some simple editing to the pictures to make it look ridiculous … Murtabak ! Talian Khayal ? ROLF Whenever there’s any pictures taken, i have always refrained myself from showing the peace sign. I don’t see the need to

Now everyone can fly and sleep

Published by in experience on May 12th, 2008

I am pretty sure most of you are familiar with the announcements made on a plane prior to departing and landing. One good example would be, “Ladies and gentleman please fasten your seatbelt as we are about to takeoff/land”. Its so common that everyone knows the drill. A few months back i was on a flight heading to Penang. It has been a routine for me to sleep off during the flight and just as i was about to doze off as others were getting to their sits, the captain of the plane made an announcement. “Ladies and gentleman, this is a kindly reminder. Please do not fasten your seatbelt, i repeat do not fasten your seat belt …” As the captain was making that announcement, i was like, ” What the fish ?” “… because the plane is currently being refueled.” Never have i heard such an announcement so much so i was wide awake for the next few minutes rather than plunging into dreamland. Beside me was a man from Bahrain whom earlier had chat with me about his country and the F1 circuit. And on the window seat was a donkey …… a donkey on his cellphone.

Enchanted Night 08

Published by in mmu on April 22nd, 2008

MMU Enchanted Night 2008 @ Marriot Putrajaya was quite disappointing @_@ That’s the only thing that i can say about last Sunday’s prom night. The food was terrible, the deco was out and somehow i felt there was no flow in terms of the program. As i was talking to Chee Way, we both agreed that last year’s Prom Nite was much better, i mean REALLY BETTER. Thank God for the crowd and luckily my table kept cracking jokes if not i would have bored myself to death. Just as i was getting ready for the night, i realized: 1) I brought a short sleeve shirt instead of long sleeve -_-” 2) I brought the wrong pants for my coat -_-” 3) I brought white socks instead of black socks -_-” Probably by now most of you would have skipped what i have said and zoomed into the pictures @_@ I barely took any pictures in the ballroom because 90% of the time, my cam was hijacked by Leau @_@ Yeah hijacked, not even kidnapped. So i had to resort to using my handphone to snap pictures @_@ Our table had a great laugh because Leau basically went to any
